The Sunshine Rescue Group was started with a vision to rescue as many endangered kittens as we can from shelters and the streets in
order to give them a chance at the life they were born to live - as loving companions to appreciative owners.  Our efforts could not continue
without the support of donations from people like you.

In addition to the usual food and litter, 3-hour bottle feeding schedules, vaccinations, medications, parasite control, special vitamins and
nutrients, any number of other items are often necessary to bring these tiny, sad victims from a few days old to an adoptable age.

The kittens below are just a very small fraction of the kittens, cats, and sometimes even dogs who we have rescued.  The hard truth of the
matter is that without the support of people in the community and our volunteers, many of these wonderful creatures would not have had
even a chance at growing up to be loving companions.

"Beej" (September 2006-April 2007)

Beej was found in a feral colony with a seriously
infected eye, which caused others in his colony to shun
him.  After rescuing him and a successful surgery, he
became a very loving and affectionate kitten.
Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with FIP and was
subsequently adopted by his foster parent.  Beej
succumbed to this dreaded disease in April, 2007.
Although his life was short, he brought such joy to
everyone who knew him.  Without the generosity of
people such as yourself, we would not have been able
to rescue such a wonderful little kitty.

A message from "Beej's" foster/adoptive Dad:
"I personally would like to thank our supporters
for allowing us to continue our operations.
Beej was the sweetest and most gentle soul
I've ever encountered.  While it saddens me
that his life was so short, I know that he lived a
life that was filled with love.  I take great solace
in knowing that he went from being picked on
by members of his feral colony to living in a
home where he was loved by his human
parents, went on nightly excursions to open up
closet doors and bathroom cabinets with his
buddy, "Mr. Mo", and used automated litter
boxes, electric flowing water drinking
fountains, and climb floor to ceiling cat trees.
His life brought great joy to me and my family.
